Nomination for President's Award
The President's Award recognizes the efforts of a geographic area team, service unit, service-delivery team or committee whose exemplary service in support of delivering the GSLE resulted in significant, measurable impact toward reaching the council’s overall goals.
Thank you for nominating a geographic area team, service unit, service-delivery team or committee. It is through the work of our volunteer teams, service units and committees that Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts is able to offer significant leadership opportunities to our girls.
Once a nomination and three endorsement letters are submitted, the Volunteer Recognition Committee reads through each nomination and endorsement. The Committee then makes recommendations to the Board of Directors on nominations. After the board has made their decisions on each nomination, our CEO will send a congratulatory letter to the Service Unit Coordinator or Committee Chair along with an invitation to the Volunteer Recognition Dinner on April 18, 2013, 6:00 PM at the Holiday Inn Mansfield.
You can help us in this process by being as clear and descriptive as possible. Please be specific in answering the questions in this survey. It is only through quantitative, measurable statements that we will be able to determine if the nominee is eligible for the President's Award. All statements should show how the group or committee impacted the council through achieving and/or exceeding their goals. Use numbers and quantifying statements such as, "XYZ service unit increased membership by 5% recruiting over 100 new girls and 45 adults."
Please note: this form is ONLY to recognize volunteer teams, service units or committees and should not be used for individuals.
Please also note: That each team, service unit or committee must also receive 3 letters of endorsements that can only be submitted through email to volunteers@girlscoutseasternmass.org, Attention: Volunteer Recognition Committee. One letter of endorsement must come from a staff person, the other letters of endorsement may come from community members, Girl Scout volunteers, girls and families.
Sincerely, Volunteer Recognition Committee
