As USDA Deputy Secretary Merrigan said in an April 19, 2011 blog post**, “[Foodhubs] are incredibly innovative business models specifically addressing some of our producers’ most overwhelming challenges." The National Food Hub Collaboration* sees food hubs as engines for regional economic growth. We believe they provide critical infrastructure support, services, and market opportunities for producers, distributors, and others that work together in the supply chain.
