The Allegheny County Library Association is pleased to invite dialogue around environmental issues through our 8th One Book One Community program featuring "A Walk in the Woods" by Bill Bryson. With Pittsburgh’s selection as host city of World Environment Day 2010 what better opportunity could there be to encourage all of our community members to be good stewards of our region!

Each year we collaborate with a variety of community partners! We invite you to highlight your organization and WED initiatives through One Book One Community. Are you hosting a WED and other nature related events? Would you like volunteers? Does your organization have “green” tips to share with the community? Can you tell us about your favorite green space to enjoy in Allegheny County? Here are a few possible ways to share your visions of sustainability with One Book One Community readers within our region:
