The University of New England (UNE) and Maine Medical Center (MMC) are applying for a federal grant to establish a new statewide Maine Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program. The Maine LEND program is designed to train clinical leaders in effective ways to improve the health of Maine infants, children and adolescents who have been diagnosed with or are at risk of developing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), neuromotor disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, and other neurodevelopmental disabilities (ND).
As part of the education of the LEND trainees, we are proposing to establish a new interdisciplinary clinic to serve these children (from diagnosis through ongoing medical support) as well as to improve and support current clinics. We need your help in determining the need for these clinics and how best to organize them. Please take the following survey to help us in determining this.
