1. The Department of Education has adjusted the funding available for the school corporation's general fund. This will force the school to review current spending practices and to consider possible cost saving options in an effort to reduce operating expenses for the upcoming school year. The Department of Education has created "Citizens Checklists" that are lists of ideas that could potentially help school corporations adjust to the reductions in funding. We have heard from many of the school stakeholders except the general public. I invite you to share your thoughts on areas you see that may assist the school corporation in its cost reduction efforts.
