About SIWI and the Project Office
SIWI is a policy institute that generates knowledge and informs decision-making towards water wise policy and sustainable development. SIWI organises the World Water Week in Stockholm and hosts the Stockholm Water Prize, the Stockholm Junior Water Prize and the Stockholm Industry Water Award. SIWI Knowledge Services performs research, builds institutional capacity and provides advisory services.
During the last years, SIWI has grown considerable, especially on the project side. The Knowledge Services department undertakes globally programs and projects related to water policies. SIWIs strategy, SIWIs increased size but also demands from our financiers increase the administrative requirements of the projects. These requirements mainly concern the results of SIWIs projects, their risks and objectives and their feasibility, that is reporting, monitoring and evaluation and learning from projects during all stages of a project.
To make the task of project administration as effective as possible SIWI implemented a project office. The members of the project office shall support the project leaders during the planning, contracting and monitoring and evaluation phase and maintain the database were project relevant information is stored and used for strategic evaluation.
