Village of Kenilworth 2013 Rainstorm Flooding Survey
Dear Village Residents,
The Village of Kenilworth is conducting a survey to better undertstand the impact that rainstorm events may have had on residents and we need your help. The purpose of this survey is to help pinpoint areas where flooding has been a chronic issue. Rainstorm related flooding is an ongoing issue for many residents. The Village wants to ensure that resources are properly directed to addressing the problem. Therefore, it is important that every household complete this survey, even if the household has never experienced rainstorm related flooding.
In order for the Village to ensure that future resources are directed properly, please answer each question to the best of your memory and with as much detail as possible. The Village is hoping to document as many dates and times as possible where residents have experienced flooding as a result of heavy rainstorms.
To protect your confidentiality, the Village has not requested your exact addresses, but rather your block number. However, if you would like to be contacted regarding this survey then please leave your contact information in the space provided at the end of the survey.
The village will aggregate the survey results which will be used to:
- To create a detailed database identifying past flooding events;
- Determine the frequency of flooding in specific areas;
- Measure the impact that rainstorm related flooding has on the community; and
- Ensure that flooding reports are used when making future decisions related to directing resources.
In an effort to be as convenient as possible for residents this survey is available in several formats. To participate in the 2013 flooding survey please do one of the following:
1. Complete the survey on the Village website at www.villageofkenilworth.org (Preferred Method)
2. If you do not have access to the internet, please fill out this survey and return it either by mail or in person to:

The survey questions are designed to help determine the extent of flooding problems in the Village. Most questions are optional. However, the few questions marked with an asterisk (*) require an answer for the survey results to be of value.
