1. Introduction
The ACT Government has adopted the 'Brundtland Commission's' definition of sustainablity to guide its work:
"Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."
ACTPLA is responsible for managing the Sustainable future program.
The Sustainable future workshops gathered together some of Australia’s leading thinkers, community members and government and industry representatives to draw out ideas on how to make our city and the ACT more sustainable, particularly in regard to future planning.
This survey is a significant part of the ongoing community engagement exercise currently being undertaken by ACTPLA.
The information obtained in this survey, which should take no more than ten minutes to finish, will be used solely for the purpose of the Sustainable future program.
