KCMO Parking Survey

The City of Kansas City is studying all aspects of the parking operations in the Greater Downtown Area as defined in the Greater Downtown Area Plan. This includes the Central Business District and the surrounding neighborhoods on both sides of the Missouri River from 31st Street on the south, North Kansas City on the north, State Line on the west, and Woodland Avenue on the east. Ultimately, the study will recommend ways to improve or enhance the overall management, operations and financial position of the City’s Parking System.

The first phase of this effort is a comprehensive evaluation of the public parking supply and demand throughout the study area, reviewing the on-street parking supply, the City’s off-street parking system, and privately owned facilities that offer public parking. Critical to this work is what downtown employers, business owners, and patrons consider the issues to be. For that reason, this survey has been developed so that any user of parking in the downtown area has an opportunity to provide input.
