LAAC: February 2012 Statewide Senior Legal Services Provider Retreat Registration
1. Registration Information
Thank you so much for your interest in attending the February 2012 Statewide Senior Legal Services Provider Retreat, held February 13-14 in San Francisco!
This forum, designed for programs that provide legal assistance to senior clients, is an opportunity to network, share issues of concern, and to plan on a statewide level. All staff at IOLTA and OAA legal services programs serving seniors are invited to attend.
This year’s meeting is made possible by the California Model Approaches grant. Now in its third year, the Model Approaches project aims to improve the delivery system of legal aid to older Californians throughout the state and reduce serious disparities in the existing availability of legal help. We look to do this through improved coordination among SLH, local senior legal services providers (SLSPs), CDA, and others.
We wish to thank the State Bar of California, Office of Legal Services, for their partnership in helping to make this retreat possible.
The Model Approaches partners (the California Department of Aging, Senior Legal Hotline, and LAAC/OneJustice) are proud to offer this meeting free of charge. For those traveling more than 60 miles, travel stipends will be available to help cover travel and hotel costs. If you will be requesting a travel stipend, please check “Yes” on the registration form, and a travel stipend form will be sent to you.
If you have any questions, please contact Denise Watt, LAAC Program Coordinator, at dwatt@laaconline.org.
