1. St. Luke Liturgical Minister Survey
Over the last few years, St Luke has found itself in the very uncomfortable position of having to turn away worshipers from Mass due to overcrowding. Many of you may remember when we added the 5pm Sunday Mass, which helped initially. But once again, many families with small children or some who are advanced in years have to stand for the entire Mass at 9am and 11am. This is obviously an untenable situation. Potential attendees should be allowed to celebrate their faith with their fellow parishioners or visit and experience the spirit at St Luke.
In an attempt to relieve overcrowding at the Sunday Masses, we are considering possible changes to the Sunday Mass schedule. The possible changes are as follows:
Saturday, 5 PM
Sunday at either 8:00 am or 8:30 am
Sunday, 10:00am
Sunday, 12:00 noon: This Mass will be offered in two languages, English and Spanish.
Sunday, 5:00pm: The time does not change, but this will be a youth/teen oriented Mass. We hope to encourage attendance for the families of the attendees in Faith Formation, Confirmation and T4C.
In order to successfully implement these changes, we need the input of ALL liturgical ministers. We will not presume to reschedule any minister without knowing their preference serving on a new schedule.
Please respond to the survey below to let us know at which Mass you wish to have you and/or your family would be interested in serving. Please respond even though you may be scheduled for a Mass that would not be affected by any of the proposed changes.
Thank you all for your commitment to St Luke's liturgy. It's a great place to serve!
