SPRAT Evaluation Survey

1. Species Profile and Threats Database (SPRAT) – Evaluation Survey

The Department is seeking your participation in a short survey on the species information tool for the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).

The SPRAT database (www.environment.gov.au/sprat) provides free information on the plant and animal species and ecological communities (ECs) that are listed under the EPBC Act. Currently there is information available for over 600 species and 10 ECs.

Available information includes population data and a distribution map as well as key data on biology, ecology and conservation. There are also links to other key government documents, such as recovery plans, conservation advices, significant impact guidelines and listing advice.

Our aim is to ensure that the SPRAT tool is providing information that meets user needs, in a way that is comprehensive, easily accessible and understood. The maintenance and further development of SPRAT is an ongoing program – so we would really value your input.

The survey will only take a few minutes to complete.
