Welcome and thank you for taking the time to answer this brief survey.
In 2006, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended routine HIV screening for all adults and adolescents aged 13 to 64 in all healthcare settings as a public health initiative to decrease the spread of HIV. The advent of oral fluid-based rapid HIV tests has suggested the possibility of extending HIV-testing to “nontraditional” settings including the dental setting.
This survey is being compiled by the Oral Health Regional Resource Center of the NY/NJ AIDS Education and Training Center, and we are interested in your opinions regarding the prospect of rapid HIV-testing in the dental setting. Your input can help us design training opportunities and continuing education courses to better suit your needs and preferences.
