FRSA’s vision for reconciliation is that we recognise, respect and value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our efforts to enhance the wellbeing, safety and resilience of all Australian children, families and communities.

4. Do you support the goals FRSA had identified to achieve our vision?


Demonstrate our respect for Indigenous culture and heritage;
Acknowledge the harm done to Indigenous families and communities by past practices and social policies;
Promote understanding and respectful relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people;
Support and highlight positive practice in the delivery of family and relationship services to Indigenous communities;
Increase training, employment and professional development opportunities for Indigenous workers in the family services sector; and
Work collaboratively with our member organisations and related social service sectors to address Indigenous disadvantage and enhance the wellbeing, safety and resilience of Indigenous families.
