WHY DOES COUNCIL VALUE PROPERTY OWNERS WHO CONSERVE THEIR PROPERTIES?
Heritage consists of those places and objects that we as a community have inherited from the past and want to hand on to future generations. Our heritage gives us a sense of living history and provides a physical link to the work and way of life of earlier generations. It enriches our lives and helps us to understand who we are today.
ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
~ The property presents well to the street and is well maintained.
~ The property shows no visible signs of deterioration when viewed from the street.
~ The property has a well maintained garden that compliments the dwelling.
~ The maintenance of the property enhances its character and charm.
~ The property adds value to the street.
