Interfaith Resources for Elders

1. Introduction to Survey

 1 / 13
A familiar trend is taking place all over the country. America is aging. In Florida by 2020, almost one in four residents will be between the ages of 60 and 84, compared to about one in five for 2009. Needless to say this demographic shift will also be felt within the faith-based congregations, strategic planning in business development, universal design in the housing market, funding for medical services and insurance policies, designing automobiles and shelf placement of items in grocery stores. The faith-based community has a long history of being the first line of defense in meeting the needs of families and individuals and along with extended family remains the first point of contact for assistance for many individuals.

Your response to this survey will assist in providing a statewide map of the types of services offered to seniors through faith-based organizations and collaborative activities among differing denominations in service to their community.

When you complete the survey, you will find a link to the DOEA Consumer Resource Guide, a valuable tool for assisting you in providing resources for your congregation.
