The Bureau of Sanitation, Industrial Waste Management Division (IWMD) administers the City'pretreatment program in accordance with the City's Industrial Waste Control Ordinance. The program regulates, monitors, and controls the wastewater discharges into the City's sewers. The program's objectives are to maintain the health and safety of the public and environment while protecting the wastewater treatment plants.
