ILGISA 2012 Spring Conference Call for Submissions
ILGISA 2012 Spring Conference Submissions
Welcome to the online submission form for the 2012 ILGISA Spring Conference on April 18-19, 2012 at the I-Hotel & Conference Center, Champaign, Illinois.
We invite you to participate in the annual Spring Conference by submitting a workshop submission, paper presentation or poster submission. The conference committee will review and select these submissions for inclusion in the Spring 2012 Conference Program.
This spring we want you to Visualize Your Geography. Technology moves at a rapid pace, where with limited resources we have to try to master one technology before it becomes obsolete. Not only is cadastral, transportation, environmental and imagery data served through maps, desktop applications and internet services, but can also be ported to a smart phone or tablet. Throughout the conference we hope to share various ways to communicate geospatial data in order to Visualize your Geography.
It is through workshops, paper presentations and poster presentations that we hope to identify common issues, solve shared problems, and inform Illinois GIS practitioners of significant GIS activity. The program is designed to be a working conference for both the presenters and the attendees. To enhance the diversity of the content, we are asking for your participation by submitting a presentation.
All submissions will be reviewed by the Spring Conference Committee. Presentations that market specific products and services will NOT be accepted. Case studies should be presented by the sponsoring organization with support provided by the Vendor as needed. Due to the number of submissions and the limited time available for sessions, we may not be able to accommodate all submissions. Presentations submitted will be selected based on topical relevance, audience interest, and time available. Although this submission does not guarantee inclusion in the program, your submission will be considered for this as well as subsequent conferences.
Upon selection, presenters are expected to register for the conference when registration becomes available.
