CRU Spring Break in the OBX Survey

Welcome to the Registration for the 2010 CRU Spring Break in the Outer Banks of North Carolina! Here are some facts that you will want to know:

This Friday will be the deadline for registering for CRU's Spring Break Trip to the Outer Banks.

We need at least 20 students to come in order to make it worthwhile and cost effective. Look at the list below to see who is in the loop at this point. We still need another 5-8 students to make our trip happen. Here are the details you need to know:

* We need 20 people who are registered by this Friday. If we don't have 20, we won't do the trip in light of momentum and cost.

* Arrive Saturday, March 6th. Depart Saturday March 13th.

* The price will be less than $300. This includes all of your food and lodging. By the way, we aren't skimping here. All of the rental properties we are looking at are oceanfront, and very nice. This won't be a "just crash on the floor" week. Everyone gets a bed. Most of the properties include pool tables, hot tubs, and plenty of deck space to hang your hammock. On the food side, we are also going to eating well. We want to build a great community environment and one great way to do that is by eating together. We will do that often.

* What's up with the cost? We aren't trying to gouge you on the cost, in fact, we are trying to get the best oceanfront deal we can get. The reality is that most rental places on the OBX are really nice. For what it's worth, it's pretty incredible to have room and board covered for a week at a premiere beach resort with friends for less than $300. If you've looked into Florida Spring Break packages, you know what we mean.

* Schedule: it's pretty open. We want this to be a break for you. We hope to have a least one day where we are serving in the local community. The rest of the time we hope you can surf, hammock, swim, kayak, take long walks on the beach, and just chill.

* Payment: As soon as we get exact numbers on Friday, we'll give you the exact cost. We would like you to bring a $100 deposit (or the full amount) made payable to "Campus Crusade for Christ" to the CRU weekly meeting next week (Thursday the 25th). Full payment will be due March 4th.

1. Tell us how committed you are to going. If you are merely interested, but aren't able to commit yet, let us know that. We won't yet reserve a space for you, but it will help us in our planning.

If you are ready to commit, let us know below. By "committing" you are telling us that you are definitely coming. In the off chance you are unable to make it (illness, death in the family, etc...) you will still have to pay $175 cancellation fee (or find someone to go in your place) so that we aren't stuck with the housing cost.
