As an official of an aviation authority or representative of another stakeholder in the aviation sector, we would like you to fill in the following survey which is initiated by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs – Pandemic Influenza Contingency – in cooperation with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). For them it is important that the international aviation network keeps running, even in difficult times when personnel may be absent and services disrupted.
It will take only a few minutes to complete the survey which aims to assess the present day level of preparedness for aviation continuity.
The results of this survey will be analyzed in order to identify what specific future assistance might be required, if any, in order to assure that safe, secure and efficient operations during a pandemic in all countries and by all aircraft / airport operators and air navigation service providers. In case that certain evidence collected in the process would indicate the need for support to aviation authorities, operators or service providers, activities and support options will be defined that could address the identified needs and assure minimum levels of continuity planning.
The UN and ICAO will both handle the information retrieved confidentially and only publish statistical data which has been made anonymous to protect privacy of the participants in this survey.
