Echoes Project Call for Entries

This spring, Planned Parenthood of Northeast and Mid-Penn along with the Planned Parenthood Association of Bucks County will be publishing a book of stories and recounts of the era before Roe. These stories will aim to bring to life the era before Choice for young women. They will paint a picture of a time when a woman could not have access to birth control if she were married. An era where a woman might be asked about her plans to start a family when she was applying for a job. An era where a woman or young woman could die on a hotel room floor because she was desperate to end a pregnancy that she was not ready for.

Do you have a story to tell? Do you know a woman with a story to tell? If so, we need you. Your thoughts, and reflections. Your oral history will be an essential part of educating the younger generation of women fortunate enough to come of age during a time when access to abortion is safe and legal. These young women can't imagine it any other way, and some may even take for granted that this Choice will always be available to them. As Choice comes under attack in our States and in Washington, it's more important now than ever to make sure every woman understands why Choice is so important and what the world might be like for her daughters and sons if this right is taken away.

One-on-one interviews will be held in January. If you or someone you know has a story to tell - please fill out this survey and you will be contacted by a project representative for more information
