This study is dedicated to Iberian dreaming-- that is, the stories remembered by the Iberian community that have to do with dreams. These can be stories of particular dreams and the consequences that followed or stories, perhaps heard in childhood, that imparted understanding in the use of dreams. A couple of examples:
1) I remember when I was a little girl, I asked my grandmother about a dream that I remembered at that time... I don't remember it now but she told me, "When you dream in black-and-white this means that what you dreamed will come true. When you dream in color, it is just a normal dream."
2) I few years ago I had this dream... I'm my childhood home and suddenly my cousin comes into my room and starts to talk to me. She seemed real agitated and I asked her why? She told me that everything was fine and not to worry about her. Then she left and immediately I woke up. Later I felt anxious about wanting to talk to my cousin but later in the afternoon there was news that my cousin was in an accident. Everything turned out OK, but on hearing that news the dream took on a different meaning for me.
To qualify for this study participants must be 18 years or older and be of Iberian heritage (Spanish or Portuguese) or currently live on the Iberian peninsula (regardless of your heritage).
