This survey is coming to you from the Low Carbon Communities Network. We’re a network of some 500 local organisations around the UK. We are run by an elected Management Group.
This survey is to find out what people and organisations acting on climate change are doing at this time, what they see as priorities, and what support they feel they need.
Over the last year we have been aware of the changes affecting local action on climate issues. Some groups have become less active; others have focused more on projects around energy and related issues. We spent time last year helping launch Community Energy England, as a new infrastructure body to support community energy projects (www.communityenergyengland.org).
Most of the survey is multiple choice. It should take less than ten minutes. All information about individual groups will be kept quite confidential. The more accurate you can be about your concerns and activities the better we will be able to develop our plans for better support.
We will be reporting on the survey in early March, and it will inform the national conference on
‘Climate Change: New directions for local action’ on March 28 / 29th 2015. LCCN is working on this event with the Climate Coalition. A copy of the results will be emailed to everyone who responds.
