Because the MTIP (Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program) and the STIP (State Transportation Improvement Program) must match in order for federal money to be expended on a regionally significant project in the metropolitan region, it sometimes becomes necessary for the MPO to make amendments or administrative modifications to the MTIP to reflect decisions of the North Carolina Board of Transportation, FTA funds allocated to local transit agencies, or other unexpected changes. In order to streamline this process and ensure accuracy in amendments and modifications, we have created this form to aid in the submission of these requests. We strongly encourage our partners at NCDOT, FHWA, FTA, local transit agencies, and member governments to use this form in the event that they need to request an amendment or modification to the FBRMPO MTIP.
