Have your own organic garden in the Old North End this summer!
The Archibald and Riverside gardens in Burlington, Vt. are open to Old North End residents. The garden plots are allotted based on available space. Priority is given to applicants who live near the neighborhood gardens and to those without access to other gardening opportunities. Gardeners are expected to attend an orientation meeting at the beginning of the growing season and at least one community work day.
• Plot fee of $20 includes access to garden tools, seeds, workshops, and garden mentors to answer questions and offer gardening advice.
• Kitchen garden plots are about 4' x 12' in size. Some half plots available.
• Applications are due March 9. Accepted gardeners will be notified by e-mail and postal mail by March 19.
