Question Title

* 7. Dylan Williams discusses how ‘formative assessment’ describes all those processes by which teachers and learners use information about student achievement to make adjustments to the students learning that improve their achievement. It's about using information to adapt to your teaching and adapt the work of the students to put the learning back on track - if you like, to make sure that the learning is proceeding in the right direction and to support that learning. It’s what happens when you don’t just lecture students and rattle through the material until you get to the end and ask them if they’ve understood it okay - it’s constantly making those adjustments.

O’Sullivan discusses that the mission of the Changing the Game Project is to ensure that we return youth sports to our children, and put the ‘play’ back in ‘play ball.’ We want to provide the most influential adults in our children’s lives – their parents and coaches – with the information and resources they need to make sports a healthy, positive, and rewarding experience for their children, and their whole family. Parenting and coaching young athletes is an art, not a science, and the information you find here can help you navigate the maze of youth sports, and put a smile on your young athlete’s face, whether he or she is 6 or 16 years old.

Beede works on our organization. You want your team performing at their next level. With more compelling visions, streamlined preparation, and better execution strategies, your team can climb over their self-imposed performance limitations. As John recounts the visually stunning tale of conquering the mountains that led eventually him to reach the summit of Mount Everest, he taught us about reaching our highest potential of sustainable achievements.

Our Breakout sessions took you on a dive in a number of different areas strategically structured to help enhance your skills.

Now reflect on your school and allow these questions to guide your reflection:

Does your school meet the needs of our students today? What might you adjust based on what you've learned?

Does your school foster and inspire creativity, provide flexible opportunities to learn and participate in the growth of our students while addressing unique and specific interests? What might you adjust based on what you've learned?

Is your school reminiscent of what students will expect in today's world? What might you adjust based on what you've learned?

I look forward to reading your responses!! ~Aimee
