2010 is the year Hackney’s Community Empowerment Network launches REACHING SUCCESS: Community Network Awards. We hope this will be an annual awards scheme which recognises the achievements of CEN community networks. The winners of these awards will be announced at our REACH conference on Tuesday, 23 March, designed to help local community networks influence services.

Please tell us which award you would like to nominate the community network for - you can pick from the following four categories. ** REACHING SUCCESS: Influence and Impact: The aim of CEN Community networks is to make sure that local communities are included in how decisions are made about local services and policy in Hackney. Which networks do you know that have had the most impact on shaping how a local service is delivered? This could be influencing how English language classes are provided in Hackney or how local health care is delivered or influencing how Hackney responds to the challenges of sustainability.

** REACHING SUCCESS: Engaging local communities: Networks are only as strong as the groups which make up their membership. Which network do you think has truly grown out of a community’s needs and remains in touch and responsive to their needs? For example do you know of a network that has consistently championed its community or area of interest?
