Help Force Government Transparency

Politicians and government employees claim to support transparency. Yes - BUT - only on meaningless data.

Kentucky government and public education is run on OUR money. It is our money - not their money. We work hard to earn the money they take to spend. We earn it. They spend it! We are accountable to manage our money effectively. If we don't have it, we don't spend it. They apparently feel they don't have to be accountable, effective, or transparent!

Open records is a lever to try to pry information out of state government on what they are doing with OUR money. They fight providing information to citizens with government attorneys WE pay for. Of course, we have to pay for attorneys if what they say or spin is not right. Once again, state government is not accountable and citizens pay.

Kentucky's major media wont' push to get to the truth. We will.

Working together we can make a difference and turn the lights on what government is doing with OUR money. They are not doing a good job. Kentucky finances are in bad shape.

If you know of examples where they are spending money when you wouldn't and when they shouldn't, please provide information to help identify where to get information and make it visible to everyone.

1. Where does the spotlight need to be turned on?

2. Please provide some contact information if you feel comfortable providing it.

It will help us gather more information needed to understand and better focus open records requests to get information.

You do not need to provide this information.
