1. GCSA GaTAPP Program Registration 2012-2013

Thank you for registering for the Georgia Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy PREGaTAPP program offered through The Georgia Charter Schools Association.

The program listed below are facilitated by GCSA staff. Course descriptions, training formats, course completion requirements, and costs can be found in the Professional Development Course catalog found on the GCSA website at www.gacharters.org (Services tab - CharterUniversity).

*Registering for the PREGaTAPP program does not confirm your enrollment in the program. This will happen via a formal review process and upon completion of the application packet and transcript review. The PREGaTAPP program is intended to help those wanting to enter the field of teaching, professional development and teacher highly qualified and certification support via our online system (LiveText) and face to face workshops as needed. The goal is to get you prepared to enter the GaTAPP and meet the federal mandate for highly qualified status to provide administrators across the state a viable pool of teacher candidates to hire from. The goal is to recruit, hire, and retain effective charter school teachers from fields including education and those experienced through other areas in the workforce. We have had great success getting teachers jobs who were ready and willing to go through our GaTAPP program starting prior to the beginning of the school-year hired (June 2013). Let us help get experienced individuals into P-12 classrooms in an effort to improve student achievement.

* 4. Please describe how you will be paying for your PREGaTAPP Program Fee? The GaTAPP Program Fee is $500.00 which covers your LiveText fees. GCSA MAY cover $250.00/$500.00 fees with a grant if the program is successfully completed and monies are confirmed as available. You will not be charged anything until the program starts and once we secure the cohort for Jan. 2014, we will contact you with payment date (typically on or near the 7th of the month the cohort starts). And at that time or before, if you decide not to join the program, no charges will be applied. Credit Card information just holds your spot, as there are only a specified number of spots in this cohort. The fee is non-refundable if you begin the program and decide to withdraw at a later date. Once credit cards are charged, no refunds will be provided.
