1. PMC Scholarship Application

Nonprofit Connect is committed to helping our members with their educational and career goals. As part of the celebration for Nonprofit Connect's 30th Anniversary in 2005, a scholarship fund was established with lead gifts coming from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and The Independent Magazine. The 2010 scholarship fund also includes gifts from donors at the 26th annual Philanthropy Awards Luncheon and will provide Nonprofit Connect members with scholarships to the 2010 Philanthropy Midwest Conference (PMC) on November 8 and 9, 2010.

The early registration fee for PMC is $250 (must register by October 8). Scholarships will range from $125 (half of the registration fee) to $225 (the full registration fee less a $25 commitment from the applicant). Applicants must be nonprofit professionals or community volunteers (students, funders and business professionals are not eligible) and a current member in good standing of Nonprofit Connect.

After completing this application, you must also email an electronic cover letter to Amy Mulligan Kennedy at akennedy@npconnect.org that includes:

a. How you will use PMC to improve your organization
b. Why you need assistance to attend the Conference

Your letter must be received and the application must be completed by 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 to be eligible for review by the scholarship committee. Applications will not be reviewed if not fully completed or without an accompanying letter. Applicants will be notified by Monday, October 4, so that they may register for the Conference by the early deadline of October 8.
