The purpose of this survey is to identify specific ways our schools and families can build closer ties and communicate in more meaningful and productive ways.

The Family-School Partnership Committee authored this survey. This group was instituted by the Board of Education in April 2012 and is comprised of a Board member, parents, teachers, and administrators representing every school and the district.

The Family-School Partnership Committee’s goals are:

- to welcome, encourage, and support all families’ active participation in their child's education;
- to build school environments at every grade level that foster and celebrate family involvement;
- to increase effective communication between each school and every family; and
- to initiate programs that guide, encourage, and help families with school-age children.
