First Year Queers and Allies Application 2013-2014
1. Thanks for your interest in First Year Queers and Allies!
First Year Queers and Allies (FYQA) is a leadership development and community building program for (surprise, surprise) first-year students at NYU. FYQA is offered through the NYU LGBTQ Student Center, and it provides an opportunity for new students to develop leadership skills, and belong to a community dedicated to participating in and creating programs focused on sexuality, gender and diversity. FYQA also goes on an Alternative Spring Break to provide service to LGBTQ communities in other parts of the country, and learn about different approaches to LGBTQ advocacy and activism.
We encourage you to attend an FYQA information session before filling out this application so that you can make an informed decision to participate in the program.
Wednesday, August 28th 1:30-2:30pm
Friday, September 6th 12:30-1:30pm
All information sessions will take place in the NYU LGBTQ Student Center in the Kimmel Center, Suite 602.
