. Board Candidate - Kim Henkle
Kimberly Henkle is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst who specializes in working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) for the past 4 years. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The New School University in New York City. She received her training and fulfilled her course requirement for her BCaBA from the University of North Texas, and became board certified in 2010.
Kimberly has been working with children in the mental health field for over 15 years. Before discovering behavior analysis, she worked with children that were the victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse, and on a crisis hotline for suicidal and homeless teens, and served as a federal reporter of human trafficking. She also assisted with parent trainings and research an outreach center for people with borderline personality disorder. In 2007, Kimberly came to Hawai’i and began working at an intensive learning center. She had the opportunity to design and lead a social skills group for intermediate school students with autism and related disorders, as well design a group instruction classroom. Kim has experience supervising school and center-based programs, for kids ranging from early intervention age to high school. Kim came to ABC Group in 2010, and assisted in opening ABC Center, a specialty school for children with autism and other learning challenges, in Aiea, on the island of Oahu. Kim is a member of the Hawaii Association of Behavior Analysis, the Association of Behavior Analysis International, and the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts.
Kim’s interests include: reducing severe aggression and self-injury, precision teaching, Skinner’s analysis of verbal behavior, and effective supervision strategies that come from application of organizational behavior management.

. Board Candidate - Beau Laughlin
Beau is Executive Director of Horizons Academy of Maui. He received degrees from Southern Illinois University (B.S., 2004, M.S., 2007). He has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2007. He was completed continuing education through Florida Institute of Technology in Verbal Behavior and Autism and Developmental Disabilities. Beau is a member of the International Association for Behavior Analysis and a member of the Hawaii Association for Behavior Analysis.
Beau began work in the field of human services and behavior analysis at Hoyleton Youth and Family services in Hoyleton, Illinois. At Hoyleton, Beau worked as part of a behavior analyst initiative to restructure service delivery and staff training. He also assisted in restructuring the delivery of therapy and increasing accountability of therapeutic goals through operational goal definition and data collection. Beau also spent time at Laurel Heights Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Beau worked with the facility to create and implement a short term in-patient unit for adolescent males with Autism and/or PDD. Prior to his current position, Beau worked as a consultant with Quality Behavioral Outcomes. He has been practicing in the state of Hawaii for 5 years.
Beau’s areas of interest include, the application of behavior analysis and instruction to clients with severe problem behavior, staff training and development, behavioral health, behavioral analysis to increase efficiency in the workplace, organization behavior management, and creating enriched environments. Beau takes a holistic and client centered approach to service delivery.

Bobbi Pollock is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has worked with children through young adults with neurodevelopemental disabilities and their families for the past 12 years. In 2001, she received her undergraduate degree in Therapeutic Recreation with a minor in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado, and shortly thereafter received her credentials as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist with emphases in developmental disabilities and behavioral health. She moved to Oahu in 2002 and since then, has worked as an Instructional Consultant for the Department of Health Early Intervention Program, provides Training and Consultation (FBA’s and BSP’s) as a Behavior Specialist for the Department of Health Developmental Disabilities Division, provides Behavior Intervention Support Services and Parent Training for the Department of Education, and offers ABA trainings on Oahu and the Big Island. She also established a number of Therapeutic Recreation groups on Oahu providing afterschool and weekend Social Skills Training for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. . Cathryn Masuda, BCaBA
Cathryn Masuda is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst who specializes in working with children with autism spectrum disorders. She is currently working towards her Master’s degree in Special Education – Severe Disabilities/Autism at the University of Hawaii. Cathryn completed her coursework in behavior analysis with the Florida Institute of Technology and became board certified in 2011. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of Southern California. Cathryn has worked with ABA Positive Support Services since its establishment. She truly enjoys customizing interventions for each individual’s situation, creating positive behavior support plans for each child’s skills, needs, and interests, and assisting learners to use their new skills in the natural environment . Her interests include language/communication acquisition and introducing to others the efficacy of Applied Behavior Analysis.
