1. Surveying the needs of Elk Horn & Kimballton

Elk Horn and Kimballton are currently engaged in a joint effort seeking an Iowa Great Places designation. (See iowagreatplaces.gov for details on the designation)
Regardless of whether we receive the designation, several goals for our communities have been set. Some of which include: Recognition as leading edge "green" communities, a tourist destination, and design and construction of a Conference Center to include a Fire Station in Elk Horn which would be multipurpose. Privately there is an ongoing effort to develop Kimballton as an art community. This survey has been initiated to aid the committees with new project ideas, prioritization of current projects, and as an asset/recourse assessment for accomplishing their goals.
