. In a time of crisis, our schools need all the champions they can get. I have previously served as a public school teacher, ensuring that my students received the tools they need to succeed in life. I have a sense of what works in our schools – and what doesn’t. As the father/guardian of children who are or will be in our public schools, I understand what parents want, what students need, and how teachers must balance both with few resources. How do you believe we can improve education in Nevada?
In a time of crisis, our schools need all the champions they can get. I have previously served as a public school teacher, ensuring that my students received the tools they need to succeed in life. I have a sense of what works in our schools – and what doesn’t. As the father/guardian of children who are or will be in our public schools, I understand what parents want, what students need, and how teachers must balance both with few resources. How do you believe we can improve education in Nevada?
More qualified teachers in the classroom
Raising teacher salaries
Reducing class sizes
Ensuring our education dollars are spent in the classroom
Greater participation of parents in education

. Another of our priorities must be to restore our State's economy and put Nevadans back to work. With our staggering unemployment rate, it is clear that we must explore new and innovative ways to induce our current businesses to hire and to encourage additional businesses to choose Nevada as their home so that Nevadans can get back to work. I support incentives to accomplish both of these goals. How do you believe we should invest in putting Nevadans back to work?

Depositing Nevada tax revenue with community banks instead of large financial institutions with the provision that it be used as loans to small businesses
Invest in our State as a research and development center for the West in the fields of biotech and renewable energy
Offering tax breaks for companies that agree to relocate to Nevada
Diversifying our economy by overhauling the State's Economic development efforts to target industries such as renewable energy equipment manufacturers, health care companies, call centers, and computer and broadband companies
