Members of the Parent Teacher Network (PTN) are trying to gather information on how to restructure and breathe life back into our parent organization. We believe that having an active PTN is vital to the ongoing success of MIT. Parents can help in many ways and we are interested in your opinions.

Please rank the following statements on a (1) to (5) scale where (1) is strongly agree and (5) is strongly disagree.

1. An effective Parent Teacher Network should have clearly stated goals and objectives that are made clear to incoming parents each year.

2. The purpose of the PTN should be to build community among parents and teachers.

3. The purpose of the PTN should be to do fundraising.

4. The purpose of the PTN should be to discuss topics of common interest related to student life at MIT.

5. The purpose of the PTN should be to discuss concerns and provide input for the administration of the school.

6. The purpose of the PTN should be a liaison between the Board of Directors and the parent community.

7. An effective PTN organization should meet at least once every other month.

8. A well run PTN meeting should last no more than 1-hour in length.
