Enhancement of Employment Retention after Traumatic Spinal Cord Injury |
SURVEY BACKGROUND
| 1 / 17 |
In late 2010, Latrobe University and the University of Toronto, Canada commenced a collaborative research project to explore aspects of the post-injury employment experiences of people with SCI in Australia and Canada. Of particular interest were factors that interfered with continuing in work. Three broad groups of factors were found to influence job withdrawal:
1. Individual level factors (e.g., SCI injury, general health, knowledge skills and abilities)
2. Job-related factors (e.g., workplace social support, job design, ergonomics)
3. Economic and social factors (e.g., finances, relationships, government policies)
We are interested in your opinion on POTENTIAL INTERVENTIONS that might be useful to minimize the impact of some of these factors.
THE SURVEY HAS TWO PARTS:
SECTION A asks for some details on your SCI injury.
SECTION B asks for your opinion on the potential interventions (there are 13 sections comprising a job withdrawal factor and an associated intervention).
The survey is COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS and will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
Your responses will provide invaluable information to guide decision making about potential new services to be developed to better support those returning to work post traumatic spinal cord injury.
If you would like to go in the draw to win one of three nano ipods (8GB), please follow the prompts at the end of the survey to enter your name and a contact number or e-mail. This information will NOT be connected to your survey responses. The prizes will be drawn in late February, 2012 at AQA Victoria offices.
Thank you for taking the time to participate.
