Care Provider Survey
1. Background Information
In an effort to continually improve the quality of care that we provide I am inviting you to take a few minutes to complete and return the attached survey by April 30, 2010.
As a non-profit organization, EADS ability to serve our participants is largely dependent upon individual, community and State funding. Last year Adult Day Health organizations like ours were substantially affected by State budget cuts. For EADS, this resulted in the collocation of our administrative offices and our Issaquah Center with our Bellevue Center, a reduction in program hours for some Centers, and a reduction in staff. Many of you stood by our side as we filled the legislative halls to fight for the inclusion of our services in a revised State budget. Although we are not out of the woods yet, because of this collective effort, some of the State funding was restored and we have been able to increase our staffing and start looking at extending our program hours and offerings again. We will continue to advocate for those we serve because we know the benefits are not limited to the safe care of participants but also includes much needed time away for the caregiver.
We are now ramping up for a great 2010 and have truly hit the ground running as we aspire to be the best at what we do. We have already renewed talks with transportation providers to address ride times, grouping residents living in the same community on the same bus, and streamlining the communication process; our Development Department has secured a grant that will result in a new website for us by the end of February; and the pending approval of our Veterans Administration contract will open up our services to deserving veterans.
Of course, we’re just getting started and this is where your input will be most valuable. We want to extend our hours and develop new programming options while still providing the highest quality care. What we need from you is to tell us where to add hours and what types of new programming would be most beneficial. There is an additional page attached to this survey requesting your input on more specific topics as well as giving you the opportunity to participate if something is of interest to you. Because your confidence and trust in us is imperative, at no time will any personal or confidential information be released or shared.
