1. Accurate Dog Bite Statistics Require Us To Know About Dogs That Don't Bite
Dog bites that are reported to hospitals or law enforcement result in an overall report that cast some breeds in a bad light. These reports miss two very important aspects regarding dog bites:
1) Dog bites that are not reported to hospitals or law enforcement. Many times the family dog will bite the child who was pulling on the dog's tail. These incidents are frequently never reported. Please take the time to document such encounters here.
2) Dogs that have never bitten a person are not reported. Dog bite statistics that cannot report the number of dogs that have never bitten are inherently skewed.
