Equality objectives

 

Under the new public sector Equality Duty, as introduced by the Equality Act 2010, the Council and other public bodies must adopt and publish their equality objectives by the 6 April 2012.

Before we fianlise our objectives we would like to ask you your opinions on a set of draft proposed equality objectives. If adopted,these would become the focus for our work on equality and diversity over the next four years.

Each objective is accompanied by a short explanation so that you will know why the objective has been selected.

Please give your opinions against each individual proposed objective. There is also room at the end of this survey for your to indicate other areas where you think the Council should set an objective or take further action.
