Thank you for visiting the AsktheGeneticistSM website. In order to ensure that our website is meeting your needs, we would greatly appreciate your participation in our website user survey. The survey should take you no more than 10 minutes to complete.
Participation in the website user survey is completely voluntary, and all individual answers will be kept confidential. Results will only be made public in aggregate form, providing no identifiers to individual responses. Your participation is completely voluntary and you have the right to refuse to be in this study. You can exit the survey at anytime.
Risks: Depending on your computer settings, websites that you visit are retained in your computer’s memory. To prevent someone else who uses the same computer from viewing this information, please empty your computer’s cache after completing the survey. We know of no other foreseeable risks associated with completion of the website user survey.
Benefits: The goal of collecting the survey data is to understand the motivations for, and characteristics of individuals who visit the AsktheGeneticistSM website and to assess the trends in the use of the internet for genetics-related information (GRI). In the future we plan to publish collected data in a medical journal article, which we will make available on our website. Our goal is to enroll a minimum of [1000] survey respondents. Taking part in this research study may not benefit you personally, but we may learn new things that will help improve the AsktheGeneticistSM website.
