Berkeley Engineering student organizations may complete this form to request funds from the College for the 2013-2014 academic year. The priority deadline to submit this form and the supporting documents referred below is 5 pm on Friday, May 17, 2013. In addition to completing and submitting the below form, a student organization’s request will not be considered complete until the following items are received by Engineering Student Services either by email at ess@coe.berkeley.edu or in person at 230 Bechtel:
1. Documentation that the student organization is registered with the university via the LEAD Center (see http://lead.berkeley.edu/orgs)
2. Copy of student organization constitution and by-laws
3. Detailed budget spreadsheet including all past student organization expenses for the 2012-2013 academic year (include event, event type, date, and amount)
4. Detailed budget spreadsheet including all anticipated student organization expenses for the 2013-2014 academic year (include event, event type, date and amount)
5. Detailed budget spreadsheet of all anticipated student organization income for the 2013-2014 academic year (including funding from departments, ASUC or GSA, ESC, companies, membership fees, ticket revenue, etc.) (include source, type and amount).
Since there is a limited amount of funding available, priority will be given to activities that benefit a large number of students or outreach events geared toward students historically underrepresented nationwide in the field of engineering (females, African Americans, Chicano/Latinos, and American Indians). The following funding model will be used : Projected expenses for 2013-2014 minus current account balance minus projected income equals amount of request.
