Independent Living for Disabled People

Change for the Future - Survey

 1 / 5
Independent living means that you as a disabled person have the freedom, choice, dignity and control to live your life the way you want to. At the moment, this is not always possible for disabled people.

Independent living does not necessarily mean living by yourself. It means rights to practical assistance and support to take part in society and live an ordinary life.

We want to hear what you think needs to change. This means telling us what independent living would look and feel like for you.

We are most interested in your thoughts on four parts of your life:

• Your home
• Care at home – and what happens when you move home
• Communicating - in a way that everyone can take part
• Advocacy – support with speaking up for yourself when decisions affect you.

Please fill in this survey by 29 July 2011.
