Welcome and thank you for taking our survey. Your responses will help CASE plan ways to support and assist stakeholder efforts in using social media successfully, and the results will be available in summary form after July 2011 at http://www.case.org/. Please note that this survey is not meant to be limited to experts in social media. It is meant to gather perspectives from a cross section of advancement and admissions professionals. Your responses will help ensure broad representation of findings.

Below are a few notes on terms used in the survey:

What we mean by your “unit” and your "institution": Most of the questions ask about your "unit" - that is, your immediate department or division. When we say "institution" we mean the organization as a whole. For example, the alumni relations office would be the "unit" and the school or university the "institution."

What we mean by "social media": Social media refers to online or electronic media designed to facilitate social interaction, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr, and a range of other tools.
