Dear Potential Camp Carl Summer Staff,

Thank you for considering employment at Camp Carl this summer. Yes, this is a job, but it is more than a position to earn money for the summer. There are plenty of positions that will pay you more money.

I am praying that you consider working at camp because you enjoy working with young people and want to help them grow in their faith with Jesus Christ.

I hope you have a desire to serve, a willingness to work with leadership, a humble spirit, a hard working attitude, and a strong faith in Jesus Christ.

It is important that you find a position that is a good fit for you and how God has gifted you. I do not want to hire you just to work at camp, but I want for you to be in a position that will use your giftedness, allowing you to serve at camp. Please make sure you have reviewed the positions on the website and know how the camp is set up.

Also, know what our mission is at camp and where we stand as a camp. Make sure you agree with our "statement of faith" and are willing to follow the "leadership agreement." It is not good for a team to be going in different directions.

I look forward to possibly setting up an interview with you soon. Please give me time to respond to your application; hopefully you will hear from me within two weeks. You are not guaranteed an interview, but you will be contacted about position availability and the perceived fit. Based on these, we will plan an interview. My preference is to do the interview at Camp Carl.

Praying with you that God will give us wisdom with this decision.
