About this presentation:

War zone and combat events are known to have profound effects on an individual and their loved ones. Many who experience traumatic stressors will recover, but others develop lasting difficulties.

As our knowledge of wounds of the mind and spirit has evolved, so has our ability to help traumatized individuals and encourage those who suffer in silence. Fortunately, effective treatments now exist for trauma-related symptoms, and research is beginning to shed light on why and how individuals recover, both spontaneously as well as through therapy. These discoveries offer hope for the many men and women who have experienced traumatic stressors in the line of duty.<BR<BR>
