1. Grant Information

In partnership with The Animal Rescue Site, GreaterGood.org, The Petfinder Foundation and John Paul Pet we are bringing our two amazing programs, Cats R Cool and One Picture Saves a Life to the Austin area on November 2, 2013.

Cats R Cool is a program that aims at improving the lives of shelter cats through education, awareness and adoptions. In partnership with Jackson Galaxy, host of Animal Planet's My Cat from Hell, whose career started by working in an animal shelter, Cats R Cool teaches shelter staff and volunteers how to use simple tips and tricks to challenge their adoptable cats in an enriching way to encourage more adoptable behavior. Additionally, cat enrichment grant opportunities will be available including cat carrier boxes, cat scratching posts, cat vaccinations, and cat toys.

In partnership with Seth Casteel, Underwater Dogs photographer, the One Picture Saves a Life program is a program that provides shelter staff and volunteers with the resources to successfully photograph and groom shelter pets, helping give them the second chance they deserve. Through this program we are offering both grooming and photography tutorials to help get pets adopted. Camera, photoshop and grooming grants are also available through this program.

Additional special presentations for Shelter Management and Staff from Found Animals on Microchipping and Disaster Preparedness and Boehringer Ingelheim on vaccinations will be a part of the invaluable information you will receive at this event.
