2012-2013 Service Learning Reporting Data

Service learning is a teaching method that combines community service with academic instruction as it focuses on critical, reflective thinking and civic responsibility. Service learning programs involve students in organized community service that addresses local needs while developing their academic skills, sense of civic responsibility, and commitment to the community.

Community service is the engagement of students in activities that primarily focus on the service being provided as well as the benefits the service activities have on the recipients.

Any information is necessary for grants and annual reports. Please feel free to fill out the survey even if you are unsure if service learning or community service is being completed. We will separate the data.
