1. Overall Conference Evaluation

 
Course Objectives:
- Recognize the impact on reimbursement and the policy implications of hospital readmissions, and identify a quality improvement approach to prevent hospital readmissions.
- Apply the Appropriate Use Criteria to determine the magnitude of inappropriate PCI and how appropriate procedures are classified within Washington State.
- Use the quality improvement processes and implementation of Phase of Care Mortality Analyses as a method of reducing mortality for a variety of cardiovascular thoracic surgeries.
- Identify and interpret the current quality rankings of each institution relative to the rest of the state.
