My name is Guy lewis and I am the owner and director of Gymboree Play and Music in Brighton. I have worked as a pre-school development teacher in the Brighton and Hove area for 10 years and have owned Gymboree Brighton for over 7 years. I am also proud father to 3 year-old twin boys, Mariusz and Frank. One of the things that I have noticed, both as a parent and working with parents of young children, is a lack of places to go within the city centre that cater for people with young children. Therefore I am considering opening 'Maz and Franks', a new cafe in the heart of Brighton specifically designed for babies, toddlers and their parents.

The Concept:
'Maz and Franks' The Baby and Toddler Cafe, is a spacious, bright and colourful cafe specifically designed for parents with children aged newborn to 5+. We will be providing high quality hot and cold beverages, fresh made-to-order sandwiches, cakes and snacks all sourced organically from the local area. In addition, there will be a full range of products available for babies and toddlers.
Parents will be able to relax and socialise, and at the same time, will be able to keep an eye on their littles ones whilst they enjoy our soft play island in the centre of the cafe. Crawling and non-mobile babies will also have exclusive access to our soft sensory area, whilst 3 - 5 year olds will have their own 'big kids' chill-out corner complete with chid-sized sofa's and books to read.
To make your experience complete, we will also be providing an extensive buggy parking area, Baby changing facilities, and an abundance of high-chairs. Breast feeding will be welcomed in all areas of the cafe. However, should you wish for more privacy - a private mother and baby area will be available.
